April Movies

I know this is the post you wait for with baited breath. hahahahahaha aw, just kidding. But seriously, let’s talk about the movies I watched in April:

The Omen

Don’t you just love movies so good you watch them over and over? This is one of my favorite horror films. Just the right amount of terror is instilled into you during this movie. That chorus singing in latin sends chills down my spine. Some parts of this movie always jump like when the babysitter hangs herself! So last month I watched Rosemary’s Baby and this month it was The Omen… I think I need to take a break from Demon baby movies… Anyhow I would easily give this movie a 4 1/2 out of 5.

The Romantics

Alright so let’s just get this out in the open: I HATE KATIE HOLMES! In fact I hate most everybody who was a major character on Dawson’s Creek. So when I say I liked this movie hopefully it has impact because Katie Holmes has a major part in it. I had to take a break 1/2 way through though because it was a bit too much Katie Holmes for me to handle… I would give this movie a 4 out of 5. I would watch it again but only if it to show a friend.

Young Goethe In Love

I chose this movie solely on the fact that the cover was very pretty. Thankfully it ended up being a very good movie. In fact, this month was pretty solid as far as good movies go. This one is German so if you don’t do subtitles you might want to pass this one up. I love most foreign films and give this a 3 1/2 out of 5.

Gogol Bordello : Non Stop

START WEARING PURPLE, WEARING PURPLE, START WEARING PURPLE FOR ME NOW! Ahem, sorry I couldn’t help myself… in fact here you go:

Gogol Bordello : Start Wearing Purple

I loved this Documentary, but hey, I just love Gogol Bordello! 4 1/2 out of 5!

Princess : A Modern Fairy Tale

This was terrible… ABC Family movies are definitely all over the place, some are cute and I love them. Some are pieces of doo doo. I have a rule where once I start a movie I have to finish it at some point this movie almost took me a year to finish and it was only an hour and 1/2 long… 1 out of 5 rating.

Avalon High

After watching an ABC Family movie right before this my expectations were LOW on this one. This one is a disney channel movie based on a Meg Cabot book. I heard that in the end it is nothing like the book and definitely not as good. Not having read the book I would say this was a fairly good movie. It was something I could watch while not having to pay really close attention. I would give it a 3 out of 5.

We Are The Night

Another German movie, however on Netflix this one is dubbed. Badly! It’s a vampire movie and I still don’t know if I liked it or not. I normally have a rule that if there are vampires in anything I will give it a try. It has gotten me into some pretty sticky situations but has sometimes yielded some great results. This one was kind of in the middle.  If you can find it subtitled your ears will thank you but with watching the dubbed version it loses half a point giving it a 2 and 1/2  out of 5.

Bunny O’Hare

Not at all what I expected! Actually at first I thought it was going to be amazing, then terrible and it was pretty good in the end. It’s a silly crime caper, that is another really straight forward movie you don’t have to think hard on. You can just watch it and have some fun. I would easily give it a 3 out of 5.

Open House

80’s slasher film about a guy murdering Relaters. This movie is super cheesy and not at all scary but it was kind of fun to watch. If you are looking for a “scary movie” to watch where you won’t be scared to watch it alone I recommend this other wise skip it. 2 1/2 out of 5

Other movies I watched in April:

Dr. Goldfoot and the Bikini Machine  : 3 1/2 out of 5

Valet Girls : 3 out of 5

The Knack…And How To Get It  : 1 out of 5

Pajama Party : 3 out of 5

So there you have it a list of movies I watched last month.

I am really trying hard to make this blog not suck… I feel a little down because my hits are dwindling instead of taking off but I’ll keep trying. To those of you who do read my blog THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

  1. Your blog doesn’t suck, I love reading every post~
Oo nice movie choices! I’m not sure if you’re looking for more to watch this month but I can throw some suggestions your way if you ever need them 😀
Don’t worry it takes time for your stats. A good thing to do to get people to know your blog if find and follow lots of other peoples who have the same interests and leave comments and likes. Type in something you like in the reader and see all the other blogs who tag their posts with that.

    • Thanks! 🙂 Movie suggestions are ALWAYS appreciated, as are your kind words! It’s just been a really crap week so I am feeling a bit down on myself. I will definitely try and not be so negative in the future. I think I will try the thing with the reader asap! 😀
